SOCIAL EVENTS
Club Fun Runs- Throughout the year club members invite their fellow members to join them on run along their favorite training routes. These runs are usually followed by a breakfast hosted by the sponsor of the run. Contact any board member if you would like to plan one of these events.

Happy Hours: Are planned on a monthly basis and published in the monthly newsletter.
Summer Picnic: We have been fortunate in the past to have many members volunteer their homes for our summer picnic. This day long event is set aside for non-running sports such as volleyball, horseshoes and badminton.

Christmas Party- We meet around Christmas to celebrate the holiday season. Site selection is made on an annual basis and in the past we have met at many members homes, at a local fitness center and at area restaurants. At this event the Tom Steele award is presented. The award, named for one of the club's top racers who died in 1990, is presented to the Checkers man or woman of the year. Past recipients of this award have been:
