In 1992 he ran his first Boilermaker 15K, having never run more than a 10K, he finished but he was suffering heat stroke, dehydration, heat exhaustion and he doesn't know what else. He was carried to the medical tent and eventually taken by ambulance to the hospital.
In 1993, he ran it again, after which he went back to medical tent, to thank them for what they did the previous year. He was told by medical people 'good to see you on your feet'.
In 2024, he ran his 30th and possibly final Boilermaker.
That first Boilermaker was probably his worst running moment but, he also probably learned the most from it. |

It even topped her list for baby girl names.. but then she had two boys.
Her last name, Guyker, is Hungarian. It was originally spelled Gyuker, which means 'root' in Hungarian. Her grandfather changed it to Guyker when he immigrated to the United States. Are you thinking she doesn't look Hungarian? That's her next fun fact.
